Hurricane Expo

Need fresh food or know someone that does?

Join us as we come together to serve individuals and families in our community love, compassion and hope.

In addition to providing a hot meal, free community resources such bread, chicken breast, and mixed produce boxes will also be available on a first come, first serve basis.

We are honored to partner with Hope Along the Way to create a welcoming environment for those who may be in need, and we encourage you to help us spread the word throughout the community.

The Hamlin
All-American Flag Parade
Celebrating 250 Years of America!

The Hamlin All-American Flag Parade is a free, apolitical, patriotic community event in Horizon West featuring a one-mile American flag walk, a meaningful ceremony, live music, food trucks, and family-friendly activities. Proceeds benefit the Horizon West American Legion.

11th Annual Juneteenth Celebration

Join us for our 11th Annual Juneteenth celebration, Threads of Freedom: Memory, Resistance, and Legacy. 

As you visit the Hannibal Square Heritage Center, participate in a community arts workshop led by Form 2 Fashion to experience the ancient art of quilting, followed by a panel discussion to learn how this art form preserves sacred histories. All materials will be provided for you to contribute to a lasting quilt that will be on display in the Heritage Center following Juneteenth.

Sounds of the World – United Groove -Celebrating Black Music Month

As part of their Sounds of the World Series of events, The Winter Park Playhouse has teamed up with Barbara Chandler Productions to present – United Groove: An Evening of Funk, Blues and Soul  – Thursday June 11, 2026 at 7:00 pm. This event celebrates Black Music Month and features the popular band United Groove. The evening is free of charge and will be held at the Winter Park Public Library in their Edyth Bush Theatre at 1052 West Morse Blvd. Winter Park, FL 32789. Doors open for seating at 6:00 p.m. with the performance beginning promptly at 7:00 p.m.
